Onix is a Rock/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, known for its massive, snake-like body made entirely of boulders. Towering over most other Pokémon, Onix tunnels through the earth with ease, creating tremors and underground paths as it goes.

It’s one of the first Gym Leader signature Pokémon, famously used by Brock in the Pewter City Gym.
Onix can learn strong Ground-type moves like Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Dig, and becomes even more formidable when evolved.
